Lemon Black and White Cookies

A light cookie with a sharp lemon flavour. They look beautiful!

Servings: 4 dozen

Ingredients:

0.5 teaspoonbaking soda
0.25 cupbutter, softened
0.33333 cupbuttermilk
1 tablespooncocoa powder
1 largeegg
1.25 cupflour
1.5 tablespoonhoney
2 cupicing sugar
2.5 teaspoonlemon juice
2 tablespoonmelted butter
1 pinchsalt
0.5 cupsugar
0.75 teaspoonvanilla extract
1 tablespoonyogurt

Directions:

Step 1
Sift together flour, baking soda, and salt.
Step 2
In an electric mixer, mix softened butter until creamy. Mix in sugar until fluffy. Mix in egg and 1/2 teaspoon vanilla. Mix in flour mixture alternating with the buttermilk.
Step 3
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
Step 4
Spoon tablespoon size amount of dough onto a cookie sheet. Don't be afraid to make them small, they grow and flatten out when they bake.
Step 5
Bake cookies for 10-15 minutes, until the bottoms are a golden brown. Let cool completely.
Step 6
Whisk icing sugar, honey, lemon juice, 1/4 teaspoon vanilla, melted butter, and up to 1 tablespoon of water or more if needed. Transfer half the icing into another bowl. Sitr in cocoa powder, adding more water if needed.
Step 7
Spread the white icing on half of each cookie's flat side, and the chocolate icing on the other half. Let stand until set, about 30 min.
